Happy Thanksgiving!

Nonfiction Readers learn the "lingo" so they can "talk the talk"

Is there an earth material is smaller than silt?

We also learned about land forms.
We watched a science video with Mrs. Filardi's class then read in our science books.

We made cute scarecrow creations to decorate the classroom.

In math we are firming up our double digit addition strategies.
Students first combine tens, then ones and then add the tens and ones together.

We can also leave the largest number whole, then add on the tens and then the ones form the second addend.

We played a math game to practice our skills.

In library we did another fun Maker Space Activity with Mrs. Huestis-circuits!

Four Winds this month was all about predators and prey

The students created their own predators and shared their special characteristics.
