Happy Holidays!

This week in Writing Workshop...

We practice skip counting and finding missing numbers.

December Days

Our Nonfiction Writing Unit is going great!

  

Writing partners help each other.
They plan their stories together, read them to one another and offer advice when a writer is stuck.











We always plan what we will work on before we go off to our writing spots. 


Here are some first drafts:












The next day we talked about how important it is to keep your reader in mind.

We read through our books and asked ourselves-where would the reader wonder more?
They zoomed in on that page and added more!

A twin sentence is when you end a sentence with a word that becomes the first word of the next sentence!

Twin sentences aren't the only way to answer the question you think your read might have.

We attended a fabulous concert by the 7th and 8th graders!






In math we are comparing numbers and using subtraction to find the difference between two numbers:
