We have been busy! During our staggered arrival, children are transitioning from coloring sheets to a mix of handwriting practice and literacy activities to strengthen skills like rhyming.
Learning correct lower case letter formation takes time and they are doing really well.

We are kicking off reading with a nursery rhyme unit. We read the nursery rhymes together and glue them into a poetry journal. The children circle words they can read and often work on a follow up worksheet.
Every month we will also read and add a poem from this classic book:
They are learning to "file" their finished work to be sent home.
We have been learning how to access and use our Chromebooks. Children have learned how to log in and access both Lexia Core 5 and Seesaw. We tried using the mice with our Hybrid Group A and found it very difficult. We have pulled back on the for a while and are teaching them how to use the touchpad only at this point.
During Writing we completed their All About Me Books which were sent home last week.
