Happy Summer!

Our last week of school was full of fun, smiles and hugs.

First Grade snack and stuffy picnic

Last June on our Look Ahead Day together we drew with chalk on the front sidewalk.  We closed out the year with the same activity.

We published out series books and shared them with one another.

We played a math game to practice our place value skills one last time in a fun way!

We read this book and created our own sunflower masterpieces.

Before Field Day we partnered up with Mrs. Grey's fourth graders to learn the macarena and attempt cotton eye joe.

Then it was time for field day.
It ended with a whole school macarena!!

A huge thank you to JV Embroidery for the bags and to our Mrs.. Boffa and Mrs. Stein who helped our students stencil them.  They came out awesome!

Michelle and I thank you for all your support this year ❤️
Have a great summer and we will see you in August!

Exciting week!

Michelle and I had 5 bantam and 5 maran eggs successfully hatch in our classrooms!

Here is a short clip of one little chick right after it broke out of the egg.

We had the bantams in our room and visited the marans on Friday.

The chicks will go home with our Technology Support Specialist Nancy Myrick this weekend who will share photos with us as they grow!

This link will lead you (🤞🏼) to a video recording of their songs from our Friday afternoon K-4 music performance!  The classes did an amazing job.  It was a great way to end out the week.
