Welcoming May with an April recap!!

Third Grade came to read us the versions of fairy tales they wrote.

This was the perfect kick off to our fairy tale unit in reading!
After reading fairy tales together we fill out an elements chart and do a follow up activity.

Learning how to show double digit addition in math using bundles of tens and ones.

Practicing telling time with a fun game

We kicked off our Embryology Unit!

Our UVM interns led two super fun lessons on marble runs.  Their last day was last Thursday

We learned about synonyms

We are now writing poetry during our writing blocks

The first graders did an amazing job leading whole school morning meeting-I did not get any photos but there is one in the CCS Newsletter.

For at least 27 years Charlie Prout from Horsefords has come to CCS on Arbor Day to plant a tree and care for trees.  This year first grade and fifth grade buddy classrooms were his helpers. This was right after whole school morning meeting-a great way to celebrate!

We filled our Champ Treat jar and had an extra recess!
