School still in full swing!

 We kicked off a new fairy tale unit during reading.

The first day students tried to name different fairy tales using only picture clues. 

We learned the main elements of fairy tales

Now, each day we read a fairy tale together, find these elements and then work on a follow up activity.  Some examples of activities are word searches, art activities, crosswords,  and venn diagrams.

Final publishing project!  

Every student wrote a couple of realistic fiction books about one character, just like the series books we have been reading.  They loved sharing their books with one another.

 

We read Miss Rumphius and painted lupines
