End of May

Champ was unable to attend our Whole School Morning Meeting in May but paid CCS, and first graders, a special visit!

  

Our last writing unit of the year is Opinion Writing.

Our mentor text:

Children practiced writing their opinions about their favorite pet, seashell and dragon.  They learned the basic format: state your opinion, give reasons why with details and restate your opinion. 

In reading we are ending the year with a fairy tale unit.

Welcome Miss Jackie from CVU-she is a natural with kids and plans to pursue a career in education.

We are readers!  We recently began a series reading unit and the students LOVE it!
