April is also Poetry Month so that is our current writing unit focus!
I either teach a type of poem or craft move to the class with mentor poems then students get to work.
For example.....
Enjoy a few examples of the other poems we have done
Look in your First Grader's folder for a class book of similes!
Children always read one of their poems to the class at the end of writing.
Think Spring!
The book Flower Garden and first grade artwork are being displayed in the front lobby
Each Third Grade Class will join us over the next few weeks sharing their fractured fairy tales.
