This week in science we learned about mixtures. When materials are mixed together, the mixture might have new properties. Some mixtures can be reversed, others cannot. Similarly cooling or heating a material creates new properties. The material can sometimes be changed back (water) and other times cannot (pizza dough)
Taking notes on properties of materials.
Choosing two materials to mix.
New mxitures!
Working with larger numbers in math-we are adding numbers in the hundreds. We will use the same strategy we use for two digit numbers. First we will add the hundreds, then the tens, then the ones and then add them all back together. While this seems like extra work to us, it builds solid number sense and an understanding of the algorithms they learn later.
