Mistakes are okay!

Four Winds this month was on sound-perfect timing!
Thank you to our volunteers!

We are now moving on to learn about light.
First the students had some time to explore and share discoveries about light using a flashlight.

They "discovered" that they could make disco lights on the ceiling and a mini dance party broke out!

Back to the science....an object placed in front of a light source creates a shadow.

The next day we learned about opaque, translucent and transparent objects.

Next week we will learn about how to redirect and reflect light.

A snapshot of the class hard at work during Technology Skills class:

Our geometry unit has been going well.  We have been learning about flat, 2D shapes and their attributes.  Did you know that a square is special type of rectangle?  Ask your child why!

Fun with a math game called "Last Shape In Wins".

On Monday we read this amazing growth mindset themed book:

Then we shared times we have made mistakes:

A few days later, we turned mistakes into beautiful works of art:

I absolutely love how proud they all look in these photos-had to make them extra large❤
