And more science....

This week we investigated two questions:
What effect will a shorter tube have on the distance the glass marble rolls?

What will happen to the distance the glass marble rolls when we increase the ramp height?

We made a line plot of data to help us analyze results and class trends.

We researched force, motion, and mass.

Lake Learning-What is an Invasive Species?
What Invasive Species are harming Lake Champlain?
Small groups researched, made a teaching poster and presented to the class.

Purple Loosestrife
Sea Lamprey

Tench

Water Chestnut

Zebra Mussels

Eurasian Watermillefoil

Alewife

Mr. Marino visited our class to teach us about Lake Stewards and how they are helping to protect the Lake from invasive species-ask your child about it!
Every month we have stopped and recorded some highlights from the month in a special Second Grade Memories Journal.  This month the children really showed their growth as writers-they wrote a ton!
