The 1st graders had a fun 100th Day of School. We spent our math class focusing on the number 100. We have also been playing Memory and I Have, Who Has to practice our 2 and 3D shapes. We are learning about fractions including halves, quarters, and thirds.

First Grade Word Study & Writer's Workshop: We wrapped up our narrative/information unit! In word study, we began working with five sound words. We learned how to tap a word with five sounds. Ask your child to show you how! Try these words: clomp, brunch, shrimp. We also learned the snap words: any, many.
